The concert stage on Plac Wolności kicks off already on the first day of Malta Festival Poznań, on 17 June. The music scene on the festival will be open by the Wrońskie sisters duo – Ballady i Romanse They will perform music from the film “The Lure” [„Córki dancingu”] by Agnieszka Smoczyńska.

On the next day we will have a Polish concert premiere of the album “Elswhere” by Luis Clara Gomes, a.k.a. Moullinex. He will serve us an energetic mix of soul, funk, garage rock, Brazilian music and disco.
Plac Wolności will also be graced by Julia Marcell and, for the first time in Poland, Ginger and the Ghost. This Australian band combines music with elements of video installations, stage design and outlandish costumes.
After every concert, those in need of even more music can join the dancing at Silent disco. On 25 June the DJ decks will be handed over to Agnieszka Szydłowska, Agnieszka Obszańska iand Michał Nogaś, the voices of the radio program Radiowy Dom Kultury on Polish Radio 3.

We will also play in Poznań’s abandoned buildings. On the first weekend of the festival KakofoNIKT will take the participants for an 8 hour musical and visual night trance. Wojciech Urbański, the co-founder of the Rysy project, composed a music installation, which will fill the space where the Józefa Struś Hospital used to be located not so long ago.
During the festival Malta’s community gardens will host a concert of the band Cukierki, who combine synth pop, electro and dance, while the songwriter Joanna Bielawska of Asia i Koty will play her new album.
