The construction of Malta Generator was launched on Plac Wolności, which - starting Friday - will become the heart of Malta Festival Poznań 2016. It is where urban walks will start and finish as well as where Lotte van den Berg’s ‘Building Conversation’ will take place; it is where the audience will be invited to talk with the artists, writers and activists about the hot topics surrounding the viewer paradox, it is where we will be exercising ‘new habits of perception’ on the city, it is where all festival days will start with a warmup or a breakfast and it is where they will all end with concerts, plays, film screenings and Silent discos.

We want to animate a space that will be friendly both for the guests of the festival, as well as all the city dwellers, regardless of their age or social standing” , say Joanna Pańczak and Agnieszka Różyńska, the curators of this year’s Malta Generator. In a matter of days music and theatre stage will be open, as well as the kids’ zone, relax space with hammocks and green pillows, the restaurant and the festival cafe, which will change into a bar in the evenings. Malta Generator will be bustling with life all day and most of the night.

All Malta Generator events are free-of -charge. Selected workshops and walks require prior e-mail subscription. Have a look at the program!
