One of the most important performances in the theatre program was “Orchidee” directed by Pippo Delbono, who has been making theatre plays together with actors and amateurs subjected to different degrees of social exclusion. The play is the artist’s personal expression in the context of the present situation of crisis in Europe, his own doubt, everyday struggle and attempts to find a purpose in his works and mission as an artist [go to image gallery and watch the film from the play]. According to Stefan Drajewski from “Głos Wielkopolski” the play is “on one hand a lament for a dying mother, and a comedy of the world on the other. Pippo Delbono invited us once again to his world in which the ridiculous mingles with the serious, naturalism with poetry, privacy with socio-political engagement”.

We invite you for an encounter with Pippo Delbono’s work during a retrospective of his films and theatre productions, which will take place on 21-31 July on the 16th MFF T-Mobile Nowe Horyzonty in Wrocław.
