Old Brewery New Dance on Malta. For the 11th time the Old Brewery New Dance program offers an opportunity to see the latest choreography performed by Polish and foreign artists. In the days coming festivalgoers will have the opportunity to admire the Berlin duo Deufert & Plischke in their “Niemandszeit”, in which they invite everyone to take part in the dancing. Especially for the Malta audience Ben J. Riepe and his artists accompanied by Top Chef Tomasz Purol shall prepare a feast for the body and the soul by serving their “Choreographic dinner” [“Choreograficzna kolacja”] plunged in a boundless myriad of smells, dishes, sounds and movements.

Artists shall also choreograph what we all experience everyday, although we are not always able to see it. Ania Godowska and Sławek Krawczyński in “Bataille: the dawn of new days” [“Bataille i świt nowych dni”] together with six amazing dancers will delve into the unconscious, by transporting us with dance into a world of intensive, borderline experiences and existential questions about human nature. We will also get the chance to see “New unfinished solo for sports footwear, past tense and a group of people” [„Nowe nieskończone solo na obuwie sportowe, czas przeszły i grupę osób”] as well as “Elvedon” inspired by by Virginia Woolf’s “The Waves” choreographed by Christos Papadopoulos.

You will also be able to meet the dancers on Plac Wolności. Warmups will be conducted by Paweł Sakowicz and Anna Godowska.
