Pieces of meat, potato peel, cream cheese and truffles are lying around in the castle kitchen. Women in aprons are dancing with knives in their hands amid bubbling pots, dirty dishes and the mists of Germanic fairytales. Historie kuchenne (Kitchen Stories) is a journey from table to table, along the trail of the gilded belly of an imperial feast, communist oilcloths, empty shelves, and contemporary gluttony and overconsumption. The old crockery is broken, yet taste and distaste remain.
