Wera V. is a young German clerk who lives in Nazi-occupied Poznan. Her life, described in her correspondences with her mother, contradicts the wartime drama. Is this cold indifference or an advantageous survival strategy? This question becomes relevant in a world that is becoming re-accustomed to war. The correspondence which inspired the play is in the form of over 100 postcards, kept by the University Library in Poznan.
